Joe started in the wine business working for an Italian wine importer in Naples, FL, hosting wine dinners and tastings. He left Naples for New York City, selling French wines to both restaurants and fine wine shops.
Joe gained experience in the retail wine space working under a James Beard award winning chef in Atlanta. He was selling wine for a national distributor supporting restaurants, chains and wine/liquor stores throughout Atlanta before moving into Finance. As a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, Joe spent much of the time talking with his clients about wine.
The opening of Sarasota Wine Co. is a dream come true for Joe, and he is honored to become a fixture of the downtown Sarasota neighborhood, embodying the pillars of hospitality he has internalized throughout the years.
